Our 1% members recognise the need for new systems to solve the food and farming challenges we face. They also understand that as an industry we hold a lot of power to make change.

1. The business (the member)
add 1% to the guest’s bill
One percent members add 1% to the guest’s bill, the invoice, the meals in the canteen or to a product line to give guests, customers or employees the opportunity to be part of a solution. Our members take a stand to add this 1% as part of their sustainability strategy because they trust that this collective action can bring about big changes.
Guests at restaurants can opt out of the initiative.
We sign a contract with all members to ensure transparency.

How does the membership work

2. Communication
Foodprint Nordic provide members with communication material so guests are informed in advance (on website and menu). Members also receive progress updates from projects to share with guests and customers so they can see what impact their contributions have.
Members also enroll in our membership program to learn more about regenerative agriculture.

4. The Impact

Foodprint Nordic teams up with innovative farmers to fund regenerative projects with the 1%. Learn more about our projects  here.

3. Our Regenerative Restoration Fund

The collected 1% contributions collected are transferred to Foodprint Nordic on a monthly basis.

5. Data & Results
We use consultants to measure on progress on all projects: Soil microbiology and carbon including specialists like ornithologists on specific biodiversity projects.

No cost for the business.
With this option, restaurants and business take a clear stance on their commitment to contribute to a better future, but do not carry the expenses or financial commitments. It only requires the time they use to communicate the initiative to employees and guests, as well as integrating it in the POS system. It is a simple and effective solution for everyone.
